Lowri is best known for spinning about, catching air and winning competitions. She's been European Freestyle Champion and British Freestyle Champion a couple of times but that's not all she can do... Lowri also loves river running - big volume or steep creeks she loves it all! Based in North Wales, she is regularly seen sliding down the steep stuff or hucking off the big stuff.
As a keen traveller, Lowri has more recently got into expedition paddling and has a few first descents to her name in far-flung reaches of the planet, including Mongolia and Siberia. She's hoping to add to that list with more multi-day excitement on a trip to Tibet in 2009.
Lowri believes that it is important to give back to a sport which has given her so much - and she does this through coaching; including being the WCA's Freestyle Development Officer. To find out more about the coaching that Lowri offers, please visit http://www.flowfree.co.uk/
Tom Laws (Tom)
Current Boats: Dagger Agent 6.2, Dagger Nomad 8.5
Whether it is on, under, or by water he loves it. When the rivers are up you will find him doing laps on a North Wales classic or spinning around underwater in his glittery squirt boat. Tom has managed to spend all his money on a selection of big shiny lenses, and spends quite a lot of time documenting all the exciting things him and his friends get up to.
Originally hailing from the land of cheese and cider, he always enjoys coming home to see the PK gang and grab a doughnut in the shop! He is addicted to tea (but developing a thing for coffee...) His recent projects include an expedition to Northern India to explore the Spiti Valley, and organising/giving birth to the Student Boater X and Slope-Jam. In the coming season he is looking forward to some obscure Welsh Steepness, lots of backyard sessions on the Ystrad and helping out with the AlpKit Plastic Fantastic Series.
Tom has spent the last few years living in the wilds of North Wales, when he isn’t up to his ears in work he is outside. Check out his escapades on www.tom-laws.com
