About Us

We are located in the village of Uphill at the base of the 'the hill' within easy reach of Weston-Super-Mare and the M5 motorway (see below). We are conveniently located for demo-ing boats at the local marina. Situated between two pubs - The Ship and The Dolphin - we could not wish for a better site.

Like this web site, the Performance Kayaks Shop is constantly under re-construction. We have extended the main shop back another 10 metres making us one of the largest paddle-sports shops in the region. We already have a stock of over 40 boats and 200 plus cags, over 120 paddles, 50 Buoyancy Aids and countless accessories supplied by many leading manufacturers from around the world.

Some customers have commented that the shop is like an 'Alladins Cave' of paddling gear. All this combined with the highly experienced staff working at the shop, make it well worth your while popping in for this truly unique shopping experience.

From junction 21 of the M5 head into Weston-Super-Mare on the A370. At the sea front turn left. Follow the road for approx. 1.5 miles until it bares 90 degrees to the left. At that corner turn right into Uphill Village. Take the first right and follow this road past the Post Office and Newsagent. At the T-junction next to 'The Dolphin' pub turn left. Performance Kayaks is on the left hand side, 100 yards along from The Dolphin.

From junction 22 of the M5, follow signs for Weston-Super-Mare until you drop down a twisty cutting. Turn left at the roundabout and drive past the hospital. Turn right at the mini roundabout, then turn immediately left into Uphill Way. Performance Kayaks is Just past 'The Ship' pub.
